Who operates PDF Listener
PDF Listener is developed by Taewoon Kang. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@pdflistener.me. This policy covers the Mac app and its promotional website.
Documents and audio stay on your Mac
The app processes the PDFs you select, their file names, extracted text, reading settings and generated audio locally. The packaged app includes its speech models and does not require an account or an internet connection to read a PDF. These documents, text and audio are not sent to the developer or a cloud speech provider.
Local storage and deletion
The app keeps imported PDF copies, extracted document data and generated audio in its local document folder. Language, appearance and other interface preferences are also stored locally. Files remain until you remove them; deleting the app alone may leave its data behind. To remove document copies and audio, choose File → Show Document Folder, quit PDF Listener, then move the unwanted document folders to the Trash. This does not delete the original PDF you selected. Any device or cloud backups you configure are controlled by your backup settings.
Analytics and tracking
PDF Listener does not include advertising, third-party analytics, tracking identifiers or an automatic crash-report upload service. Its interface communicates with a local service on the same Mac. This is not a remote upload. Operating-system diagnostics and App Store services are governed by Apple’s settings and privacy policy.
Website and external links
The promotional website uses GitHub Pages. App download buttons open Apple’s Mac App Store; Apple handles app downloads and updates under its privacy policy. GitHub hosts the website and historical third-party source materials and may process connection information, such as your IP address and browser details, when you access them. The website itself has no advertising or analytics scripts; its fonts and audio sample are served with the site. Opening an external link makes a separate connection to that provider.
When you contact support
If you email contact@pdflistener.me, the developer receives your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send, through the email service. Only send information needed to explain the issue. You can request access, correction or deletion of information you supplied by contacting the same address. PDFs are not attached or sent automatically by the app.
Changes
This page will be updated if the app’s privacy practices change. The date above identifies this version of the policy.
